Therese Shumaker, MA, RDN, C.T.T.S., CWC, worked at Mayo Clinic for fifteen years as a Registered Dietitian before joining the Nicotine Dependence Center as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist.  She works with patients in the inpatient, outpatient and residential settings.  She has always been interested in health behavior change, motivation, and physical fitness – especially topics related to wellness strategies to help with addictive behaviors.  Her focus is on wellness not weight and promoting a healthy lifestyle when working with individuals who are quitting smoking to help prevent relapse.
